West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center, be sure to peek inside the newly restored Flagg Grove School. This once one-room schoolhouse attended by a young Anna Mae Bullock (aka Tina Turner) is now home to a collection of the Queen of Rock's personal memorabilia including costumes and gold records. Even her high school yearbook is included among the treasures.
You'll also experience what learning must have been like for African-American students in the 1940s - early 50s, including an authentic chalkboard, desks and benches preserved along with the structure.
Browse the unique gift shop filled with local and regional handmade items and find a true sense of what the authentic South is all about. You won't find these items in other souvenir shops.
