Thank you for choosing Chickasaw Chalet as your vacation getaway location. We hope you have lots of fun during your stay with us! We are members of the Tourism Association of Southwest Tennessee and have brochures and guides available in the office to help you plan activities while in our area. Oh, by the way, if you're looking for a place to have a wild and loud party with lots of folks dropping in all during the night, this is NOT the place. We like to have fun too, but not at the expense of others. So if you're looking for a nice quiet place to relax with friends or family after a long day sightseeing or playing at the park, THIS IS THE PLACE!
For your comfort
and safety (and that of others), please keep the following in mind:
All cabins are strictly
Non-Smoking!
If you smoke, please keep it outside the cabin, and away
from open doors and windows and away from the spa. We are
very serious about keeping our
cabins smoke free for our non-smoking guests. Please dispose of your butts properly to keep
the grounds clean and help prevent fires. Let us know and we will
provide you with a can to use and leave outside.
If you violate this rule, you will be
charged the prevailing daily rate as long as the cabin is out of service
as well as the costs of cleaning. No more than seven (7) people in a cabin, (for example, 3 couples and another person.) Children and babies are considered in this number (for example, if there is 4 adults and 4 kids, that is 1 too many). This is so that everyone has a bed and does not sleep on the loveseat or floor, as well as compliance with insurance regulations and fire and safety code. PETS: Sorry, no pets allowed. This includes any that may belong to visitors you may have. If you are found to have a pet with you on the premises and you had not notified the owners prior to arrival, you will be asked to leave without refund. You will also be charged the prevailing daily rate and for the additional cleaning costs associated.
Operation of Motor vehicles:
When driving on the property, please drive slowly!
Speed limit is 10 MPH. If you are expecting visitors,
please advise them of this as well as the exact location of your cabin.
The roads are narrow with little room for error and visibility is
limited going over the hills. People and wild critters are wandering the
property at any given time and we want to avoid accidents.
ATV’s, skateboards, skates
and
roller-blades are not to be used on the property. Bicycles
are permitted.
FIREWORKS
are not permitted.
Visitors:
We want everyone to enjoy their
visit with us. If you’re looking for a place for a party and lots of
people coming and going all hours, this may not be the place you’re
looking for. The cabins are intended for our registered guests and are
designed for a maximum of seven people. A few visitors at a time are OK,
but large groups are not. It also creates issues with traffic through
the property. Please be aware there may be others not associated with
your group on the property as well as this is the owners private
residence. Please keep noise to an acceptable level. Parties are
not acceptable and could result in immediate eviction without
refund. If you need space for a family get-together or a gathering of friends, please talk to the owners regarding the use of the Picnic pavilion. It can be reserved for a nominal fee. No fee is charged if all five cabins are reserved by the same group.
All cabins are inventoried, inspected, and thoroughly
cleaned after each stay. You will be charged for any missing or damaged
items and additional cleaning charges may apply for excessively dirty
cabins. Any damages on the
property caused by intentional or careless acts by you, anyone in your
party, or your visitors will be charged to your account. Accidents will
occur from time to time so please bring any damage to management’s
attention immediately to avoid misunderstandings. Please closely supervise your children while on the property. We are in the woods and there are wild critters about. Also, depending on the time of year, natural hazards such as poison ivy, poison oak, wasps, bees, ticks, snakes, etc. can be present in the woods. Please exercise due caution. Please keep in mind the privacy of others and keep
a respectable distance from the other cabins when wandering the
property. We are planning
nature trails and gardens for the enjoyment of our guests to be
completed in the near future.
